Education in Philadelphia is a critical problem. Drop out rates are high, skill levels are low, and the adolescent crime rates are through the roof. But that is only happening now. What will happen in the future?
You must decide. Go to http://philly.heresmychance.com and submit your response to Mayor Nutter’s challenge. How will you innovate to get parents to spend 5 more hours a week working with their kids on their homework? Selections will be reviewed and the winning idea will receive $1,000 in support to execute a pilot program. Prove that your model works and Here’s My Chance will work with you to receive full funding to scale your project.
All you need to do is:
1) Submit a video at http://philly.heresmychance.com
2) Share the video with your network and receive 150 views
3) Once you reach 150 views, contact dave@heresmychance.com
All submissions that reach over 150 views will be reviewed and a winner selected on December 15, 2011.
